Associate Marketing Manager, Content

The Associate Marketing Manager - Content, helps develop and support seasonal marketing planning and strategy for all product categories, as well as Design Services, Trade and collaborations. This role plays a key part in creating seasonal content angles and executing campaigns that build strong new customer growth as well as retention of current customers. We are looking for a highly organized, proactive, and confident professional who is ready to take ownership and build their own operational systems.

An exceptional cross-functional communicator who works well with creative teams, possesses sharp project management skills, and remains comfortable navigating shifting priorities and fluid timelines.

This is an on-site position (Monday through Thursday) based out of our Chicago, IL office with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.

A day in the life as a Associate Marketing Manager...

• Serve as the Associate Brand Manager and Content Strategist for annual, seasonal, and other content planning.
• Support and manage day-to-day operations of the marketing content strategy, including the editorial planning calendar, message map, and cross-channel asset development process. Bring an extremely organized approach to build, maintain, and optimize your own workflow systems.
• Support the development of sound strategic communication plans based on clear understandings of the objectives.
• Partner closely with cross-functional teams across Marketing, Creative, Media, and Ecommerce to ensure our message is being communicated clearly and effectively across all channels to our consumers. Act as a strong cross-functional communicator who bridges gaps and works seamlessly with creative partners.
• Coordinate content briefings, including brief development, and driving day-to-day project management.
• Analyze data, both internal and external, to determine areas of improvement in order to grow market share.
• Partner with merchants to ensure product assortment serves the needs of our customer, and to identify opportunities to promote specific products for our various segments.
• Deeply understand the product assortments through a creative and strategic lens.

• Experience contributing to or developing breakthrough content strategies.
• Ability to innovate new methods to attract customers to the brand, including emerging technology, non-traditional media strategies, and new techniques.
• Proven project management experience with a demonstrated ability to easily adapt to shifting priorities, changing timelines, and fluid project scopes.

• 3+ years of marketing experience
• Experience brainstorming successful content strategies and a track record of working collaboratively alongside creative and marketing cross-functional teams.
• An innate confidence in system-building and an organized mindset that cuts through ambiguity.
