Role Overview

Position within Kaufman Hall’s thought leadership function tasked with creating and managing content across a broad spectrum of healthcare topics for clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and develop a content calendar for articles, presentations, podcasts, and other formats in collaboration with Business Unit leaders, the firm’s thought leadership sponsor, and enterprise-wide Thought Leadership and Marketing teams.
  • Lead a team of writers, podcast editors, and other content developers to produce high‑quality deliverables.
  • Edit and write content, ensuring appropriate structure, voice, and level of detail for each format.
  • Coordinate with external publications (e.g., trade magazine editors) as needed.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on repurposing content for webinars, presentations, and other media.
  • Manage content review, revision processes, and talent identification with Business Unit leads.
  • Work with talent agencies and leaders to secure speakers and develop keynote and panel content.
  • Partner with Marketing colleagues for promotion and planning of conferences.
  • Provide overarching content development, collateral review, and messaging support for the BU president in coordination with Communications.
  • Develop up to four blogs annually reflecting the BU president’s point of view on key issues.
  • Offer content support for speaking engagements alongside the Executive & Strategic Communications team.
Qualifications
  • 10‑15 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare publishing, including journalism, thought leadership for consultancies or research entities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, or communications (preferred);
    Master’s degree preferred but not required.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with strong interviewing and research synthesis capabilities.
  • Experience collaborating with communications/PR teams and with business/organizational leadership to develop content strategies.
  • Ability to translate complex topics into accessible narratives.
  • Excellent organizational and multi‑tasking abilities.
Compensation

Base salary range: $ – $; incentive eligible. Geographic factors may adjust the range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances.
