Overview
Director of Communications — Chicago, IL (Hybrid) | Full-Time, Permanent
Saray: DOE. Base salary + Bonus Opportunity. Our client is an industry-leading supply chain and logistics partner that services some of the world’s most recognizable brands. The Director of Communications will serve as a high-impact, strategic advisor to the US Executive Leadership Team. This leader will design and execute a dual-focus communication strategy, balancing corporate/B2B external reputation management with high-stakes internal frontline operations communications.
Responsibilities- Partner directly with the US Executive Team to translate business objectives into high-impact communication plans.
- Collaborate with parent-company corporate PR and cross-functional leadership (HR, Ops, Supply Chain) to ensure a unified voice.
- Lead the division's AI strategy—evaluate and adopt tools to optimize content, analytics, and targeting.
- Build a data-driven framework to track channel performance and deliver engagement metrics directly to the executive suite.
- Bridge the gap between corporate HQ and hourly, deskless warehouse/distribution center teams.
- Create targeted communication kits (FAQs, talking points, scripts) for site openings, closures, and major tech rollouts.
- Partner with HR and Ops to draft proactive, transparent communications that protect workforce trust during negotiations or transitions.
- Own end-to-end execution of town halls, leadership summits, and large-scale employee engagement events.
- Direct communication strategy and manage touchpoints (including QBRs) with major enterprise restaurant/retail partners.
- Own the US website and Linked In presence, partnering with Talent Acquisition to elevate employer branding.
- Serve as the regional point of contact for media relations and crisis response, coordinating with parent-company PR.
- Advise on regulatory positioning and act as the regional liaison for local government and partner organizations.
- 10+ years of communications experience, with at least 5+ years of direct people management experience.
- Proven success navigating complex corporate structures, multi-tiered parent organizations, and high-volume external client partnerships.
- Direct experience in logistics, distribution, manufacturing, CPG, or retail with a significant hourly/deskless workforce.
- Experience building analytical dashboards to measure communication impact, with a forward-thinking comfort level utilizing AI-driven tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
