Account Supervisor
An Account Supervisor demonstrates market insights and contributes to the strategic marketing plan. Provides day-to-day leadership of the strategic plan execution and ensures creative product achieves client's and agency's objectives. The Account Supervisor also oversees the day-to-day execution and ensures high-quality, cost-effective results. This role is responsible for maximizing the client's budget by looking for timely, strategic solutions.
Responsibilities include acting as a client advisor for strategic marketing issues; partnering with the client to develop marketing strategies that inform creative briefs; communicating with the client regularly to obtain updates on the client's business; contributing ideas for innovative, comprehensive marketing solutions that build the client's brand with local financial advisors; drawing on knowledge of the integrated communications industry and theory to create innovative, comprehensive marketing solutions that build the client's brand with local financial advisors;
anticipating potential changes and obstacles with the client's business and/or our relationship and involving the appropriate resources to bring resolution requirements; projecting optimism and calm in the face of challenges; having global knowledge of client and brand initiatives, also having a grasp on client competitors; analyzing and communicating in market results and monitoring brand threats and opportunities; possessing a thorough understanding of the client's business, brands and industry, including the client's cost and time parameters;
leveraging business knowledge and knowledge of client's business objectives to meet or exceed client delivery; building strong, trusting client relationships to build hunger for bold, untested ideas; understanding client's communications measurement tools well enough to influence decisions related to results; conducting all client meetings and working with client to identify opportunities for future improvements; facilitating development and delivery of all value-added requests;
presenting new ideas and innovative approaches to solving client business issues; identifying opportunities and making suggestions for action; responsible for obtaining client's approval on production cost estimates; and obtaining final client approvals.
Creative responsibilities include providing business information to and developing creative briefs with Planning; overseeing execution from initial concept through final measurement; ensuring creative product is developed according to deliverables; anticipating issues in the creative and production processes and working to avoid them; addressing client/internal questions related to the briefs throughout the creative process; providing guidance and overseeing timing, budget and legal for creative briefing;
providing meaningful feedback on the creative brief, possessing proven creative influence; conducting testing meetings; identifying key learnings and creative implications; ensuring the archiving of creative work and strategic documents.
Project management responsibilities include collaborating with strategy, media and creative teams in the development of the agency's recommendation for advertising mix; collaborating with VP, Director to develop yearly deliverables plan and production budget; monitoring project scope and helping define project resource requirements; optimizing use of team's time and resources on each project; helping others execute complex ideas; managing ways to bring ideas to life across departments and within budget and timing parameters;
gaining support and ownership of all key stakeholders to execute project plans on time and budget; conducting production meeting and internal and external reviews of work; approving individual project plans and timelines; reviewing production cost estimates and confirming client approval; troubleshooting issues with cross-functional Account team daily; maintaining quality assurance and continually improving work processes driving toward flawless execution that exceed client expectations;
supervising the writing of weekly status report and attending internal and external status meetings; determining alternate methods of meeting project deadlines/goals; understanding P&L issues and identifying opportunities to reduce costs; understanding the meaning and impact of key financial measures and how to use financial analysis to create project cost and budgeting.
Leadership responsibilities include creating a positive agency/team culture; reinforcing roles and accountabilities internally and with the client; identifying opportunities to incorporate sister agencies and ensure strategic alignment; encouraging the team to contribute new, innovative ideas for improving the agency's strategic, competitive advantage; helping people see how they fit into the accounts and agency's vision; confronting others constructively on important issues and problems;
