Job Description & How to Apply Below

We are looking for a Senior Social Strategist who combines strong strategic thinking, cultural awareness, editorial judgment and exceptional writing.

This role will help shape the social presence and thought leadership of executives, founders and senior business leaders across a range of industries.

The right person is not simply someone who can write strong content. They can identify what is worth saying in the first place.

You should be able to understand an executive's business, audience, expertise and goals, uncover the strongest ideas within their experience, and translate those ideas into a clear social strategy and compelling content.

You will work closely with clients and the broader account team to develop positioning, content pillars, editorial direction, social narratives and individual pieces of content.

About us

The KA Consulting Group supports CEOs, founders, and senior executives with visibility, reputation building, and executive thought leadership. We work closely with senior leaders to shape strategic narratives, strengthen their public presence, and build authority through intentional content and communications.

What You'll Do
  • Develop social and thought leadership strategies for executives, founders and senior leaders.
  • Translate business, reputation and visibility objectives into clear content strategies.
  • Develop content pillars, messaging frameworks, editorial themes and ongoing narrative opportunities.
  • Identify timely and relevant opportunities for executives to contribute to industry conversations.
  • Analyze industry trends, audience interests and cultural conversations to uncover strong content opportunities.
  • Develop original ideas rather than relying solely on topics provided by clients.
  • Determine the right balance of industry insight, executive perspective, company news, leadership content and personal storytelling.
  • Build and contribute to strategic editorial calendars across multiple client accounts.
Executive Thought Leadership
  • Interview executives and subject matter experts to uncover insights, opinions, experiences and stories.
  • Listen to client conversations and identify the strongest ideas that can become social content.
  • Help executives articulate clear and differentiated points of view.
  • Understand what makes each client's perspective unique within their industry.
  • Ensure content supports the executive's broader positioning and reputation.
  • Identify opportunities to build authority around specific topics over time rather than treating each post as a standalone piece of content.
Writing & Editorial
  • Write and edit executive Linked In posts, newsletters, articles, commentary, talking points and other thought leadership content.
  • Capture distinct executive voices and ensure content feels authentic to the individual publishing it.
  • Turn complex or technical information into clear, compelling and accessible narratives.
  • Develop strong hooks, arguments, structures and storytelling approaches.
  • Edit content for clarity, originality, tone and impact.
  • Recognize when content feels generic or predictable and develop a stronger angle.
  • Maintain a consistently high editorial standard across all client work.
Client Strategy & Counsel
  • Participate in client strategy and content calls.
  • Ask thoughtful questions that uncover stronger ideas and perspectives.
  • Understand each client's company, industry, competitors, priorities and target audiences.
  • Confidently recommend content directions and challenge ideas when a stronger approach exists.
  • Present strategic recommendations clearly to clients and internal teams.
  • Proactively identify opportunities instead of waiting for client direction.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior executives and client stakeholders.
  • Work closely with account managers, writers, designers, PR professionals and video teams.
  • Develop clear briefs that allow creative teams to execute against the larger strategy.
  • Review social performance and identify patterns around topics, formats and narratives that resonate.
  • Use performance insights to refine future content strategy.
  • Contribute ideas for new formats, campaigns and approaches that strengthen client programs.
