Marketing Director

Our client is a highly respected commercial real estate advisory firm focused on landlord representation and strategic advisory services in downtown Chicago. They are seeking a Director of Marketing to lead and elevate the marketing function for the organization. This is a strategic and important role responsible for shaping the company's market presence, broker support strategy, business development storytelling, and overall brand positioning across the Chicago central business district commercial real estate market.

This role is ideal for a hands-on marketing leader who understands commercial real estate, thrives in fast-moving entrepreneurial environments, and can translate broker ideas and market insights into compelling positioning, presentations, campaigns, and leasing narratives. The environment is lean, collaborative, and execution-focused, requiring someone equally comfortable operating strategically and rolling up their sleeves to produce high-quality work.

The Director of Marketing will partner closely with executive leadership and brokers to create differentiated stories for pursuits, properties, clients, and the overall brand while also helping refine and scale the firm's broader marketing infrastructure and creative direction.

• Lead the overall marketing strategy and execution for a boutique commercial real estate advisory firm focused on the Chicago central business district market
• Partner directly with brokers and leadership to develop compelling narratives, positioning, and go-to-market strategies for developer portfolios assets and client pursuits.
• Create and oversee high-end pitch decks, presentations, property marketing materials, and business development collateral
• Develop and evolve the company's brand identity, messaging, and visual storytelling across all touch points
• Collaborate with external creative, branding, and marketing partners and freelancers while helping centralize and streamline marketing efforts internally
• Support broker enablement initiatives through strategic marketing support and tailored materials
• Drive digital marketing initiatives including website content, email marketing, social media, and thought leadership opportunities
• Identify opportunities to elevate brand visibility and market differentiation within the commercial real estate industry
• Build scalable marketing processes, workflows, and standards in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
• Operate as both a strategic leader and hands-on contributor across creative, messaging, and executional work

• 5+ years of marketing experience with direct commercial real estate industry experience required
• Strong understanding of landlord representation, office leasing, commercial brokerage, or related CRE advisory environments
• Experience supporting brokers, business development teams, or deal-related marketing initiatives
• Strong presentation development and storytelling capabilities with an eye for premium, polished deliverables
• Experience leading branding, positioning, and strategic marketing initiatives
• Ability to balance strategy with hands-on execution in a lean team environment
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with executive-level presence
• Experience managing external creative agencies, freelancers, or marketing partners
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously
• Proficiency with presentation, creative, and marketing tools commonly used within commercial real estate marketing environments
