Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director, Reunion and Family Giving, the Coordinator of Family and Reunion Giving supports reunion and family giving efforts through volunteer engagement, communications, and cross-campus collaboration. In partnership with the Director, this role develops and maintains volunteer resources, drafts targeted outreach and recognition materials, and supports committee meetings and follow-up. The position also manages reunion engagement tools and peer-to-peer messaging to ensure effective outreach and accurate CRM data and collaborates with University Advancement and Campus partners as needed.

  • Creates and maintains reunion volunteer resources and materials, including handbooks, email communications, and other resources as needed
  • Helps craft volunteer communications, including sample peer messages, handbooks, and other materials as needed for reunion and family outreach
  • Provides support during volunteer committee meetings, including but not limited to prepping pre- and post-meeting communications and deliverables
  • Drafts communications and recommends promotional and recognition materials for family giving society members
  • Collaborate with campus partners in the Division of Student Development to align family giving and engagement initiatives, including Family Weekend, Commencement, and New Student Orientation
  • In partnership with key collaborators in Annual Giving and Information Systems and Reporting, manages reunion engagement tool, including coordinating peer messaging for distribution, monitoring access requests, and submitting data updates to ensure CRM alignment

Minimum Education and/or Work Experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in project management, volunteer management, alumni relations, public relations, communications or related field required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in higher education or related field.
  • Prior experience with creating presentations that include sophisticated visuals and the ability to tell a story
  • Program planning and a history of collaboration across a large and complex institution.
  • Proficiency with technology including digital platforms, videoconferencing, survey, and project management software. Strong project management, organizational, multi-tasking skills; ability to work autonomously, proactively take initiative, troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Commitment to professional growth and continuous learning.
  • Strong interpersonal, communications, and relationship-building skills to engage with diverse partners, volunteer leaders, faculty, staff, alumni, friends, vendors, and others to support and grow our volunteer leader community.
  • Ability to work through complex issues requiring judgment and keeping confidential information.
