As Staff Product Manager, Growth, you’ll partner with our Head of Growth to build Grindr’s growth function and help more people find lasting value in the product. You’ll own key initiatives across the user lifecycle, using customer insights and data to improve activation, reactivation, and retention.

This is a hybrid role based in our New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Chicago office and will require you to be in person Tuesdays and Thursdays.
About The Job- Help build Grindr’s growth product function from the ground up, defining how we identify, prioritize, and deliver opportunities across the user lifecycle.
- Develop and drive a multi-quarter roadmap spanning new-user activation, retention, reactivation, and churn prevention.
- Improve the new-user experience from App Store discovery through onboarding and the first seven days on Grindr.
- Build better re-onboarding experiences for returning users and create new ways for less-active users to find value and connection.
- Partner with Data Science to deepen our understanding of DAU and MAU, identify where users enter, drop off, return, and build lasting engagement, and translate those insights into product priorities.
- Lead discovery, experimentation, launch, and iteration across high-impact growth initiatives, balancing quantitative signal with deep user understanding.
- Work with Marketing on App Store optimization and lifecycle capabilities, including platforms such as Braze and Apps Flyer, while partnering with international teams on global growth opportunities.
- Create clarity across ambiguous problem spaces, align senior stakeholders around priorities and tradeoffs, and hold the work accountable to measurable outcomes.
- Several years of hands‑on product management experience, including ownership of complex consumer products from strategy through launch and iteration.
- A record of defining and delivering multi-quarter product strategies that improved activation, engagement, retention, or another meaningful user outcome.
- Strong analytical judgment, including experience using product data, experimentation, and behavioural insights to identify opportunities and make decisions.
- Deep user orientation and strong research instincts, with the ability to connect qualitative insight and quantitative evidence.
- Experience leading cross‑functional work with Engineering, Design, Data Science, Marketing, and other partners in a fast‑moving environment.
- Ability to operate independently, create structure from ambiguity, and influence senior stakeholders without relying on formal authority.
- Clear communication and strong product judgment, including the ability to make trade‑offs and explain what matters, what does not, and why.
- Have direct growth product experience across activation, retention, reactivation, lifecycle, or churn prevention.
- Have built products for consumer social, dating, community, or other high‑engagement mobile experiences.
