St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church (Hickory Grove) is in rural Nemaha County,Nebraska (in the southeast corner of the state). The church is located just a mile off Highway 136 on a well-traveled county road. Equidistant from two award-winning public school districts, Hickory Grove Church is located about an hour from Nebraska’s two largest urban centers, Lincoln and Omaha, and 30 minutes from Nebraska City.

• Teach the Word of God
• Administer the Lutheran Sacraments
• Conduct public worship
• Instruct Confirmation
• Perform marriages
• Visit the sick and distressed
• Perform funerals
• Understand our culture and try to learn about it
• Pursue personal growth and continued education

• Increase local outreach and cultivate a culture of invitation to connect with local children, young families and unchurched people in the community.
• Continue current mission outreach with Oaks Indian Mission, Orphan Grain Train and Walking In Faith 4 Christ youth mission group.
• Inspire and grow more scripture-based fellowship opportunities for our own congregation.
