Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Development Director at Leo Catholic High School, located in the Greater Chicago Area. The Development Director will oversee and lead fundraising initiatives and donor engagement activities to support the school’s mission. Responsibilities include developing and executing fundraising strategies, managing donor relations, planning events to cultivate contributions, identifying new fundraising opportunities, and maintaining donor databases.

The Development Director will also collaborate closely with school leadership, alumni, and the community to strengthen the school's development efforts.

Qualifications
  • Fundraising and donor relations experience, with a proven ability to secure gifts and build lasting relationships with donors.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for effectively engaging with stakeholders, including alumni, staff, and community leaders.
  • Proficiency in planning events, project management, and managing donor databases.
  • Knowledge of non-profit management and understanding of development/fundraising best practices.
  • Creative problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently on-site and collaborate effectively with teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience working in an educational or faith-based organization is a plus.
