The Community Resource Development Coordinator will serve with Full Circle Communities in Chicago, IL, from September . Full Circle Communities is part of Housing Action Corps, an Ameri Corps VISTA program managed by Housing Action Illinois since 2010. Housing Action Corps members receive custom training, support, and networking opportunities in housing and community development, in addition to the traditional benefits of Ameri Corps VISTA.
Full Circle Communities develops and operates affordable and supportive housing to help low-income residents achieve housing stability across Illinois, Michigan, and Iowa. This project will focus on enhancing resident services for our Chicago‑area properties that are locally aligned and data driven. The Community Resource Development Coordinator will develop a standardized needs assessment and community asset mapping system to support long‑term housing stability.
They will also design tools, processes, and resource guides to strengthen service delivery and eviction prevention measures.
Responsibilities include developing a standardized resident needs assessment process across new affordable housing communities, ensuring services and partnerships are guided by resident‑informed data. The coordinator will design and implement community asset maps, outreach strategies, resource guides, and replicable tools and training materials that strengthen service coordination, support housing stability, and build long‑term organizational capacity to reduce poverty.
QualificationsIdeal candidates are detail oriented and community minded with skills in research, data collection, and stakeholder engagement. Helpful qualifications include experience with surveys or program evaluation; strong written and verbal communication skills; cultural humility when working with diverse resident populations; and the ability to build organized, sustainable tools and processes across multiple sites.
This position offers a $500 monthly supplemental stipend.
