Position: 2026 LUCHA | Housing Action Corps | Community Builder

2026 LUCHA | Housing Action Corps | Community Builder

The Housing & Community Capacity Builder will develop a volunteer engagement program; strengthen the grants pipeline through research, proposal development, and reporting; and enhance marketing efforts by documenting programs, elevating resident stories, and coordinating outreach and fundraising activities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement a structured volunteer engagement program that supports resident engagement and strengthens community connections.
  • Conduct research and develop grant proposals to strengthen LUCHA’s funding pipeline.
  • Prepare reporting for grants and other funding sources.
  • Create marketing and communications materials to share LUCHA’s impact, highlight resident experiences, and engage funders, partners, and community members.

Qualifications:

  • Motivated by housing justice and community strengthening.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and eagerness to learn.
  • Self‑driven, collaborative, and able to manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent writing skills for grant proposals, reports, and outreach materials.
  • Spanish language skills and prior experience in volunteer coordination, grant writing, or marketing are a plus.
