Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a community engagement plan for Erie in Garfield Park
- Identify key community stakeholders and collaborate with Erie colleagues
- Identify and develop relationships with staff from peer service providers
- Plan and manage outreach events in West Side communities
- Utilize technology and tools to track engagement efforts
- Represent Erie externally at meetings and events
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High school degree or equivalent with three (3) years of community organizing experience; OR Associate’s degree or two years of college, with two (2) years of community organizing experience; OR Bachelor's degree with one (1) year of community organizing experience
- One (1) year experience managing community engagement activities or other relevant professional experience in community relations, communications, and project management
- Direct, current knowledge of Garfield Park’s communities, human services organizations, and some key personnel
- Knowledge of community health services, public health or related fields desired
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including PowerPoint and Excel
