Surrounded by young professionals, students, families, and longtime residents, this community values authenticity, creativity, and meaningful relationships. We gather each Sunday in the iconic Biograph Theater on Lincoln Avenue—a historic Chicago landmark whose rich story has become the backdrop for life-changing stories of faith, hope, and transformation.

Rather than simply attending church, our team is committed to becoming a visible, serving presence throughout the neighborhood, building relationships and helping people discover Jesus in the heart of the city.

The Community/Teaching Pastor provides spiritual, pastoral, and directional leadership for the location by championing the mission, vision, and values of Community Christian Church. Responsibilities include preaching and teaching on weekends, leading and developing staff and volunteer leaders, shepherding the congregation through discipleship and pastoral care, and fostering a culture of spiritual growth and outreach. The Community/Teaching Pastor works collaboratively with central ministry teams to ensure alignment across all campuses while contextualizing ministry to effectively reach and serve the local community.

This role also oversees key ministry initiatives, equips leaders to fulfill the vision of "Every Person a Pastor," and helps create environments where people can find their way back to God and take their next steps in following Jesus.
