Job Description
Clay City Christian Church in Clay City, IL is looking for a charismatic minister that is motivated to build and maintain a Restoration Movement congregation. Our average Sunday morning worship attendance is 40 and we have an active youth group which typically averages about 40 on Wednesday nights. Our minister would be expected to help with that program.
Clay City Christian Church is blessed to have the opportunity to partner with Oil Belt Christian Service Camp located just a few miles away. We would prefer that our minister lived in our provided parsonage. This would help foster strong relationships with our congregation and community. Having or actively working on a Bible college degree from a Restoration Movement aligned institution of is preferred.
Moving to Clay City, Illinois offers a tight net rural Midwestern environment perfect for raising your family. Free housing is provided by the church. The community offers a slower pace of life, excellent local schools and ample opportunities for fishing and hunting.
A great place for ministers to focus on building an authentic restoration movement ministry. It allows ministers to focus on authentic relationship-building within a close community. Our present minister has been with us for 8.5 years and is following his love for working with youth by accepting a full-time position with FCA.
