Position: Chief Nursing Officer (CNO)

Job Details Description

  • Lead and manage the nursing department, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in patient care.
  • Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures that align with the organizations mission and goals.
  • Collaborate with medical staff and other departments to promote interdisciplinary communication and teamwork.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient care practices, outcomes, and staff performance to ensure excellence in service delivery.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development among nursing staff.
  • Manage the nursing budget, including staffing levels, resource allocation, and operational costs.
  • Serve as a liaison between nursing staff and administration, advocating for the needs and concerns of the nursing team.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices in nursing and healthcare.
  • Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes at the executive level.
  • Ensure effective recruitment, retention, and training of nursing personnel.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required, Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred
  • Current nursing license and certification in the state of practice.
  • Minimum of 7 years of nursing experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, quality assurance, and patient safety standards.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and community
  • Proven experience in nursing leadership and management roles
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse healthcare professionals and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and quality improvement
  • Advanced certifications such as Nurse Executive (NE-BC) are a plus
