Quality Assurance Nurse Evenings

Join our Austin Oasis nursing team as a Quality Assurance Nurse. We prefer that you have at least two years minimum supervisory experience. We would consider an RN or LPN for the position.

This is a salaried position required to work 40 hours a week Monday
- Friday 3pm-11:30pm (weekends as appropriate; 1 per month minimal). You would become a part of Nursing Management under leadership of DON and ADON.

Salary is based on Nursing License (RN or LPN) and years of experience.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to
:

• Being part of the nursing rotation to work the floor along with ADON, Restorative, MDS and Wound Care
• Psychotropic Program
  • Initial assessments
  • Quarterly assessments
  • AIMS
  • Behavioral progress notes
  • Psychiatrist rounds
  • Psych orders
  • Psych consents
  • Complete MDS Section N0400
  • Psychotropic care plans
  • Psychotropic drug reduction tracking
  • Psychotropic monthly QA in conjunction with Pharmacist
• Incident Reports
  • Review all incident reports
  • Investigate all incidents within 24 hours
  • Track all incident reports
  • Update care plans post incidents within 24 hours
    
    Implement post incident interventions
  • Review all updated assessments and documentation post incidents
  • Monthly incidents/falls QA
  • Initiate, update and maintain fall risk care plans
  • Initiate Fall Risk Notification to Families
• Rotation with DON/ADON for after hour staffing when absolutely necessary
• Other duties as assigned by Upper Management
• Rotate with DON/ADON for holiday staffing (minimal 1 summer and 1 winter)
• Rotate being on call with DON/ADON
