Surgical Nurse

The Hospital is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join a fast-paced Level I Trauma Center. The ideal candidate will have strong scrub and circulating skills and be comfortable working in a high-acuity surgical environment. This position requires the ability to work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient care.

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Operating Room setting
• Perform both scrub and circulating duties for a variety of surgical procedures
• Ensure adherence to sterile technique and infection control standards
• Assist surgeons and surgical team during trauma and general OR cases
• Monitor patient status throughout perioperative phases
• Accurately document patient care in Cerner (preferred charting system)
• Participate in on-call rotation as required
• Maintain patient safety and comply with hospital policies and regulatory standards

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Illinois or Compact if applicable)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room experience
• Strong experience in both scrub and circulating roles
• Current BLS certification
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume trauma environment
