Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring an active IL RN license and flexibility to float among multiple ICU units.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital ICU setting with patient assignments in Burn ICU, CCU, Medical ICU, SICU, and Neuro ICU
- May be required to float to Med-Surg units or other facilities within 50 miles as needed
- Day shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts, 7:00am to 7:30pm
- Every other weekend is required (two weekends per month)
- No block scheduling or special scheduling requests will be approved
- Uses Cerner for electronic charting
- Initial orientation and precepting are scheduled on day shift
- RNs must be willing and ready to float to various ICU units and Med-Surg areas based on facility needs
- No requests for time off the day before, day after, or during a holiday will be approved
- Maximum of 5 days of time off allowed, with no more than 2 consecutive days; no weekend time off approved
- Scrub color is flexible; scrubs are not provided
- Level 1 Trauma Center environment
- Strict compliance with onboarding and lab completion timelines is enforced
- Team-based model support is used if floated outside primary competency
- Proof of COVID vaccine is required for employment
- Active IL RN license (pending license not accepted)
- Minimum of 2 years recent acute care ICU experience required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- COVID vaccination required for consideration (booster not required)
- Locals accepted within a 75-mile radius, locals preferred
