Overview
Montrose Behavioral Health Hospital, located in Chicago, Illinois, is hiring an RN House Supervisor. Available shifts:
Full Time Night (7p-7a) and Full Time Day (7a-7p). Pay Rate: $40 - $50 per hour. Sign On Bonus:
Full Time Night - $10,000. Montrose Behavioral Health Hospital provides personalized treatment for mental health disorders and co-occurring addictions, offering premier inpatient care for children ages 5-12, adolescents ages 13-17, adults 18 and older, and senior adults 55 and older.
- Anticipate and effectively manage changes in census and acuity; allocate nursing resources based on patient acuity and care needs.
- Role model customer service expectations and demonstrate urgency related to patient safety.
- Enforce and interpret policies for the delivery of patient and resident care.
- Ensure proper staffing for each unit, maintain appropriate staff ratios, cover call-offs and vacation time.
- Ensure chart checks are completed, seclusion/restraint log is up to date, nursing assessments are completed, and MARs/report sheets are accurate and up to date.
- Complete rounds at the beginning of shift and perform random audits.
- Assist DON to orient and ensure staff competency; may include coaching staff.
- Provide mentoring and training as needed.
- Assist DON by ensuring facility compliance with professional, regulatory and governmental standards.
- Ensure effective delivery of competent, compassionate, and safe care by monitoring and evaluating patient care processes and outcomes on the patient care units.
- Coordinate all care rendered to patients, including physician orders and diagnostic information, and ensure consultations are ordered.
- Document medical, behavioral health information and nursing care.
- Administer medications and maintain records in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Assist in developing a plan of care with specific and measurable goals, objectives and interventions; update the plan of care as goals/objectives are met or when the patient's condition changes.
- Prioritize tasks and delegate staff to ensure quality patient care.
- Lead on shift for all admissions and discharges, and inform physicians of changes in the patient’s condition. Adjust staffing accordingly.
- Utilize administrator-on-call for situations requiring additional attention.
- Provide direct care as needed.
- Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
- BSN from an accredited school of nursing preferred.
- Current registered nursing license in the state of the facility required.
- Greater than 1 year of RN experience strongly preferred.
- 1 year of RN experience in any setting required.
- 1 year in psychiatric/recovery programs preferred.
- Some experience as a charge RN or other leadership position strongly preferred.
- Current certification or license to teach within the state where the facility is located.
- CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
- First aid may be required based on state or facility.
