About the Position
Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)
Full-time Permanent Position

Schedule:
8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday (7AM-3:30PM) with 24-hour call rotated among OR team

Join a dynamic OR team delivering exceptional patient care. Assist surgeons during operations, maintain a sterile environment, and apply advanced skills under pressure. Use critical thinking and compassion to prepare patients, implement care plans, and collaborate with healthcare teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Apply the nursing process, critical thinking, and professional judgment to care for assigned patients.
Collect and analyze assessment data to identify diagnoses/issues and develop individualized plans.
Implement, monitor, and evaluate care plans for effectiveness.
Ensure sterile field, assist in procedures (spine, ortho, robotic surgeries), and manage OR inventory/supplies with precision.
Communicate effectively, demonstrate leadership, and collaborate with patients, families, and teams.
Integrate evidence-based practice, complete 8+ hours of relevant CE annually, and adhere to ethical standards.
Practice safely across all patient ages, supervise staff as needed, and handle confidential health information.
Adapt to new techniques, perform duties under pressure with attention to detail, and support special projects.
Required Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
Current RN License (Illinois).
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
4-5 years of OR experience.
Experience in spine, ortho, and robotic surgeries.
Strong knowledge of OR inventory and supplies.
Ability to work variable hours and learn new OR skills.
Preferred Traits:
High accuracy, attention to detail, and pressure-handling.
