Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
• Valid Certified School Nurse (CSN) credential
• Prior experience as an RN in a school environment is strongly preferred
• Strong skills in assessment, critical thinking, and student health advocacy
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Compassionate, dependable, and able to work collaboratively with educators, students, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care to students, including first aid, medication administration, and chronic illness management
• Collaborate with school staff and parents to create individualized care plans
• Respond to health emergencies and handle communicable disease control protocols
• Conduct health screenings for vision, hearing, and other needs
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
• Educate students and staff on health practices and wellness initiatives
• Promote a culture of inclusivity and safety across campus

Schedule and Commitment:

• Full-time, 37.5 hours per week for the academic year
• Contracted role with consistent daily hours aligned to the school calendar
