OverviewWe are looking for a registered nurse to serve as a Nursing Professional Development Practitioner for our Transport Team. The practitioner will influence professional role competence and professional growth of learners in a variety of settings, supporting lifelong learning in an inter‑professional environment that facilitates continuous development for the health‑care team.
Responsibilities- Develops knowledge and competency in pediatric nursing and professional development practices.
- Evaluates personal practice in relation to professional practice standards and guidelines, and relevant statutes, rules, and regulations.
- Implements strategies for seamless transitions to practice and between practice settings.
- Assesses clinical skills of staff, provides learning opportunities to advance clinical competencies and decision‑making skills, and documents competencies.
- Uses the best available evidence to guide practice decisions.
- Facilitates professional role development.
- Actively works to assist in transformation processes at the unit/area level, utilizing project management and improvement processes.
- Other job functions as assigned.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in nursing required (Master’s preferred in adult education).
- Registered Nurse licensed in the state of Illinois.
- ANCC recognized certification in a specialty area of clinical practice.
- Minimum three years of clinical experience in a specialty area (preferred).
- Strong preference for direct experience in transport, EMS/emergency, or pediatric critical care (NICU, PICU, CVICU).
- Basic Life Support certification required from the American Heart Association.
- CPR instructor within 6 months of hire.
- Resuscitation requirements as appropriate to specialty area within 6 months of hire.
Pay range: $83,200.00 to $ per year.
