Nursing Professional Development Practitioner - Transport Team

We are looking for a registered nurse to serve as a Nursing Professional Development Practitioner for our Transport Team. The practitioner will influence professional role competence and professional growth of learners in a variety of settings, supporting lifelong learning in an inter‑professional environment that facilitates continuous development for the health‑care team.

• Develops knowledge and competency in pediatric nursing and professional development practices.
• Evaluates personal practice in relation to professional practice standards and guidelines, and relevant statutes, rules, and regulations.
• Implements strategies for seamless transitions to practice and between practice settings.
• Assesses clinical skills of staff, provides learning opportunities to advance clinical competencies and decision‑making skills, and documents competencies.
• Uses the best available evidence to guide practice decisions.
• Facilitates professional role development.
• Actively works to assist in transformation processes at the unit/area level, utilizing project management and improvement processes.
• Other job functions as assigned.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in nursing required (Master’s preferred in adult education).
• Registered Nurse licensed in the state of Illinois.
• ANCC recognized certification in a specialty area of clinical practice.
• Minimum three years of clinical experience in a specialty area (preferred).
• Strong preference for direct experience in transport, EMS/emergency, or pediatric critical care (NICU, PICU, CVICU).
• Basic Life Support certification required from the American Heart Association.
• CPR instructor within 6 months of hire.
• Resuscitation requirements as appropriate to specialty area within 6 months of hire.

Pay range: $83,200.00 to $ per year.
