Registered Nurse - Psychiatric

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide compassionate psychiatric nursing care to patients experiencing behavioral health issues during night shifts. Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and implement treatment plans in accordance with clinical standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient mental and physical health needs upon shift start.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately.
• Observe and document patient responses and behavioral changes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop or adjust care plans.
• Maintain a safe environment and intervene in emergencies as needed.
• Follow all protocols and compliance standards for psychiatric care.

Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state.
• Minimum of 1 year of psychiatric or behavioral health nursing experience.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to work night shifts, specifically from 7 pm to 7 am.
• Knowledge of mental health treatment protocols and medication administration.
• CPR and BLS certification required.
