- At least 18 months of recent experience in an Acute Care Cath Lab setting
The Cardiac Cath Lab RN performs angioplasties, implants pacemakers, and diagnoses cardiac conditions with invasive catheterization procedures. Key duties include:
- Administer care for patients with heart disease and heart attack by obtaining visual diagnostics of the arterial system.
- Identify blockages, assist the physician during procedures, and monitor patient status during recovery.
- Administer interventional procedures such as cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, pacemaker and/or defibrillator implantation, and related diagnostic procedures.
