Registered Nurse - Oncology

• Plan, provide, supervise, and document professional nursing care using the nursing process for patients in accordance with physician orders and established policies and procedures.
• Communicate and collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.
• Chart observations and activities related to patient care in electronic health record.
• Provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for a patient population on a specific unit.
• Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care.
• Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient’s condition.
• Perform interventions according to identified priorities, plan of care, infection control and hospital policies and patient care outcome standards.
• Collect blood specimens by venipuncture or microtechniques for laboratory analysis necessary for patient treatment and diagnosis.
• Operate equipment that is needed to perform department-specific duties.

• Minimum 2 years of Oncology, chemotherapy, and biotherapy experience, outpatient clinic highly preferred.
• Minimum 18 months of infusion experience.
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Active chemotherapy and biotherapy certifications.
