Pay Range
The salary range for this position is $57.36 - $88.91 per hour. Placement within the range depends on experience and internal equity. For union positions, placement follows the collective bargaining agreement.

The Manager – Invasive Cardiology is responsible for overseeing invasive cardiology departments and cardiovascular clinical programs, including cardiac catheterization labs, electrophysiology labs, and cardiology recovery observation unit. The Manager leads quality strategies, fiscal, human resource, and quality outcomes for the service area, collaborates with leadership, and fosters a patient‑focused environment.
Responsibilities- Provide leadership and oversight for cardiac catheterization labs, electrophysiology labs, and CROU.
- Oversee cardiovascular programs such as cardiac surgery post‑op management, general cardiology/heart failure, ventricular assist devices and heart transplant, and niche programs.
- Coach, mentor, and develop clinical staff; facilitate onboarding, individualized development plans, and performance evaluations.
- Serve as clinical expert for the target patient population; implement evidence‑based practice and quality improvements.
- Maintain and elevate quality of care; promote research and innovation.
- Recruit, develop, and retain exceptional staff; collaborate with HR and other managers for staffing and retention strategies.
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Model diversity, equity, and inclusion; maintain a safe, high‑quality work environment.
- Collaborate with system partners and other managers to deliver integrated cardiovascular services.
- Provide technical and continuing‑education support to staff.
- Customer Focus – Identify internal and external customers, gather feedback, and implement solutions.
- Creative Leadership – Translate organizational vision into unit vision and engage staff.
- Coaching and Development – Provide daily feedback, track performance, and match staff talents with opportunities.
- Continuous Learning – Explore new ideas, share knowledge, and encourage best practices.
- Assume 24‑hour accountability for patient care quality, human resources, and departmental functions.
- Ensure effective supervision and monitoring of staff and shifts.
- Utilize institutional resources for education and technical support.
- Maintain technical and clinical standards per regulatory bodies.
- Design and structure positions according to organizational framework.
- Develop recruitment and retention plans to meet turnover and vacancy goals.
- Collaborate across system partners for cardiovascular services.
- Provide technical and continuing‑education programs to ensure staff competence.
- Model appreciation for diversity and create a motivated, professional environment.
- Maintain relationships with staff, physicians, vendors.
- One of the following degrees:
Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited school/college of nursing or degree from an accredited Physician Assistant Program. - Progressive leadership with two to three years of management experience.

- Proficient problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
- Capacity to plan, organize, and direct activities of others.
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in Illinois, or Current license as an Advanced Practice Nurse in Illinois with certification by a national certifying body approved by the Illinois Department of Regulation APN Board, or Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant Program with current license as a Physician’s Assistant in Illinois.
