Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Overview

Memorial Hospital Belleville is an acute care facility that provides medical and surgical services, critical and emergency care, and pediatric emergency care. The hospital is accredited as a Chest Pain Center and as an Acute Stroke Ready Hospital and has Magnet recognition for nursing excellence.

Provide direct patient care activities, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing care standards. Promote patient and family‑centered care in a healing environment.

• Promote patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
• Educate patients and families on illness or injury management, including post‑treatment home care and medication administration.
• Participate in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in professional development.
• Develop, implement, and document individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team and with the patient, family, or caregiver.
• Proactively plan and ensure communication of the plan of care across the continuum of care.
• Use critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care.
• Assess patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care, including values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population‑specific needs.
• Maintain a constant state of alertness and work safely in this safety‑sensitive position.

• Education:
  
  Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree in Nursing. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• Experience:
  
  No experience required. Supervisor experience not required.
• Licenses &
  
  Certifications:
  
  RN license required.
