Short

Summary

The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) RN provides comprehensive care and support to patients in the ICU who require additional monitoring and intervention. Core duties include continuous monitoring of vital signs, emergency response, and maintenance of patient life support systems.

Full‑time, 12‑hour shifts (7:00 am to 7:30 pm or 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, rotating). Shift differentials are paid.

Job Requirements
  • Demonstrates commitment to the patient care model and the organization’s nursing vision and strategy.
  • Utilizes the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to coordinate outcome‑focused care.
  • Incorporates holistic nursing theory into practice.
  • Communicates effectively with patients, families, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team.
  • Assesses and documents learning needs of stakeholders in the healthcare process.
  • Participates in creating and operationalizing quality improvements that promote clinical quality, customer experience, nursing engagement, and care outcomes.
  • Complies with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, board of nursing requirements, patient safety requirements, infection control practices, and other established practice standards, policies, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Coordinates interdependent team activities while encouraging collaborative teamwork and cooperation.
  • Assumes an active role in the development and achievement of department goals.
  • Undertakes other responsibilities as needed or assigned.
Qualifications
  • ADN, BSN, or MSN from an accredited nursing program is preferred.
  • Valid RN license.
  • BLS CPR certification required (AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted).
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association.
  • ICU work experience is an added advantage.
  • At least 2 years of nursing experience (ICU or PACU preferred).
  • Ability to work variable hours.
