SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITYOur client is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as a Building Nurse for the upcoming school year. This role provides comprehensive health services within the school setting.
CLIENT'S LOCATIONSchools are located in the Chicago (Gage Park/Archer Heights neighborhood)
DESCRIPTION OF CLIENT'S DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide direct nursing care and health assessments to students.
- Manage daily health office operations and student medical needs.
- Participate as a member of the IEP team (not responsible for IEP documentation).
- Monitor and support students with chronic and acute health conditions.
- Provide care for a student requiring catheterization; prior catheter experience is required.
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and health care providers to ensure student well-being.
- Active RN license required.
- School nursing, pediatric, community health, or related nursing experience preferred.
- Catheterization experience required.
- Bilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
- Establish a relationship with one of the nation's largest referral agencies for behavioral-health.
