Must-Have:
Graduate from an accredited school of Practical Nursing. Successful completion of coursework for medication administration as a Practical Nurse in accordance with state regulations. Documentation of pharmacology/administration for medication course must be provided if requested.
Description:
The Licensed Vocational Nurse / Licensed Practical Nurse will provide direct patient care as per established protocols. They will perform various nursing duties, including administering medications and treatments. The role involves monitoring patient vitals and health status. Clinical experience in an acute care facility is highly desirable. This is a mandatory float position, requiring the clinician to float within the facility's discretion.
Weekend work is required every other weekend. Requests for time off are limited to five days, with no more than two consecutive days off. Time off is not permitted on holidays or the day before or after holidays. Responsibilities include adhering to isolation precautions and utilizing personal protective equipment. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is expected to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Clinicians must be prepared to float across various units as needed. References from recent employment must be provided prior to starting the role. Candidates must demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness in meeting job requirements.
