Registered Nurse - GI Lab

Hourly Pay Range: $36.00 - $55.80. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

  Availability from 7am-5:30pm M-F with call requirements (PMs, Nights and weekends included)
• Travel:
  Floating Locations 1-2 times per month:
  North Shore GI Labs (Evanston and Skokie GI Labs)

• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate the delivery of nursing care to patients and their families.
• Maintains competency reflective of current standards practice.
• Interacts and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues.
• Integrates ethical provisions in all areas of nursing practice.
• Integrates evidence-based practice and research findings into nursing practice.
• Recognizes and adjusts to situations that vary from the norm.
• Promotes safety measures to prevent patient and staff injuries.
• Guides and supervises staff in the provision of patient care.
• Enhances own professional growth and development.
• Maintains a safe therapeutic working environment and recognizes need for action in emergency situations.
• Documentation is thoroughly and timely completed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

• Education
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• Certification/License
  • IL RN License
  • CPR BLS through American Heart Association
  • ACLS through American Heart Association
• Experience
  • Prefer at least one year of experience as a staff nurse.
  • Prefer endoscopy, med/surg, or procedural experience.
  • Demonstrates mastery of nursing skills.
  • Communicates effectively and, if experienced RN, is able to guide and supervise nursing personnel.
  • Required:
    
    Reliable transportation for floating.
