School RN - All Grade Levels
Location:
Chicago, IL 60638
Compensation rate: $80/h before taxes and benefits!
Position OverviewThe School RN will be responsible for delivering healthcare services, supporting students with chronic conditions, administering medication, and promoting a safe, healthy school setting. This is an in-person, contract position running through the academic year.
Responsibilities- Provide first aid and emergency care to students and staff during the school day
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments
- Maintain accurate and confidential student health records
- Support the care of students with chronic medical conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes, seizures)
- Communicate with families, school personnel, and healthcare providers as needed
- Monitor immunization compliance and health documentation
- Contribute to IEP and 504 Plan processes as appropriate
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois
- CPR certification (must be current)
- Experience in a school, pediatric, or community health setting preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with education and clinical teams
