• Supervises and directs patient care in the operating room unit.
• Performs scrub duties as necessary.
• Performs all circulating duties with efficiency, speed accuracy and safety.
• Provides continuity of patient care.
• Assists in control and maintenance of drugs, supplies and equipment.
• Demonstrates knowledge of Department Policies and Procedures.
• Assist in administrative duties as directed.
• Assist in supervision of personnel and department to provide optimum assurance of safe environment, as well as staff development and education as applicable.
• Demonstrates problem-solving ability.
• Takes call for emergencies, holidays, weekends and is available for additional duty as necessary.
• Acknowledge rights of patients, family and/or significant others.
• Participates in quality improvement activities.
• Adheres to department dress code.
• Demonstrates performance of safety and fire prevention.
• Participates in professional development, keeping skills and competencies current.
• Other duties as assigned.

Preferred 2 years of Operating Room experience.

CPR or ACLS certified.

Ability to perform effectively and harmoniously as a member of the operative team.

Exert up to 20lbs of force occasionally and/or 10 lbs. of force frequently.

Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.

Provides total peri-operative nursing care to patients who are members of the immediate community ages one week through their life span, utilizing the nursing process.
