Job Description
Location:
Superior Street.
Shift: 4 9-hour shifts per week, from 8 AM to 5:30 PM.
Required RN experience: 2 full years of practice.
Responsibilities- Perform nursing assessments using a variety of methods and area-specific tools.
- Develop and individualize plans of care, including goals relative to family needs; evaluate and document changes to the plan.
- Develop and individualize teaching plans/protocols to meet patient and family learning needs; identify preferences and motivation to learn; evaluate and document changes.
- Perform nursing care per procedures and protocols; anticipate and intervene in emergent situations.
- Communicate with families and multidisciplinary team members to identify health needs; communicate changes in patient status; utilize resources for referral or consultations.
- Keep nursing practice up to date by applying current literature for information and problem solving.
- Incorporate quality initiatives into daily activities.
- Adhere to communication, service excellence, and professional image standards that support the hospital mission and philosophy.
- Work cooperatively as a team member to achieve unit and hospital goals.
- Identify learning needs and seek resources to advance practice and professional goals.
- Perform job functions with customer-service focus, providing highest quality care and service to patients, families, co-workers, and others.
- Demonstrate knowledge of protocols related to chemical disinfection, high-level disinfection, and sterilization as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (required) or higher (preferred).
- Current RN license in the State of Illinois.
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and staff.
- Special certifications may be required by the department.
- Commitment to obtaining or maintaining required certifications and continuing education.
- Visa sponsorship may be considered for qualified candidates, subject to applicable law and business limitations.
Hourly pay range: $36.00 – $59.40, based on experience and skill level.
