Nurse Manager
The Float Pool and Support Services, Nurse Manager duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Demonstrates the fundamental knowledge of the unit and is responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing or supervising direct patient care.
- Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates delivery of care based on age specific components.
- Assumes responsibility for the coordination of care focused on patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction throughout the continuum of care.
- Influences care outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team and participating in process improvement initiatives.
- Has 24/7 oversight for quality, effective care in all areas of responsibility.
- Oversees the Nursing Float Pool and Escort Services.
- Responsible for adherence to Staffing Methodology principles and nursing hours per patient day (NHPPD) on off tours to ensure safe staffing levels throughout the medical center.
- Focuses on individual growth and development in practice with increased levels of self-direction.
- Brings principles and theory with limited application of critical thinking skills.
- Responsible and accountable for the direction and supervision of specific orientation, training, development of staff, and evaluation of individual staff performance.
- Functions as a role model, educator, practitioner, and supervisor providing leadership to the team.
- This position potentially requires flexibility in schedule and assignments.

Pay:
Competitive salary, regular salary increases, potential for performance awards
