Role & Responsibilities
In this role, the L.P.N. provides high-quality nursing care, supervises staff including C.N.A.s, administers medications and injections, and ensures compliance with laws, regulations, and policies. They are responsible for documenting care, monitoring Guests' conditions, following care plans, and collaborating with physicians. The nurse maintains Guest dignity, comfort, and safety, manages treatments, wound care, and dietary needs, and supports infection control and safety protocols.
The L.P.N. also assists with admissions, transfers, and communicates effectively with Guests, families, and staff.
Qualifications & Skills
Candidates must have a high school diploma, graduate from an accredited nursing program, hold a current L.P.N. license, and CPR certification. Preferred experience includes at least one year in long-term care or as a C.N.A. Knowledge of Joint Commission and IDPH regulations is advantageous. The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work in a 24/7 healthcare environment.
