At RYZE West, we're dedicated to providing high-quality restorative care to our residents. As a Restorative Nurse, you will play a vital role in maximizing the resident's existing abilities, emphasizing independence, and minimizing the negative effects of disability.
Full-time opportunity in Chicago, Illinois.
Duties and Responsibilities- Plans, develops, organizes, implements, evaluates, and directs restorative care services and programs in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern nursing care facilities.
- Meets with administration, medical and nursing staff, therapy department, and other related departments in planning restorative care.
- Develops and maintains restorative care standards.
- Assists the Quality Assessment and Assurance Committee in developing and implementing appropriate plans of action to correct identified deficiencies.
- Assumes the authority, responsibility, and accountability of directing restorative care services.
- Performs administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, and other tasks as necessary.
- Interprets restorative care policies and procedures to personnel, residents, family members, and others as necessary.
- Assists the Administrator and/or HR Director in the recruitment and selection of competent restorative care personnel.
- Provides direct nursing care as necessary and as department needs may dictate.
- Ensures that all restorative care notes are informative and descriptive of the treatment provided and of the resident's response to the care.
- Develops and participates in programs designed for in-service education, on-the-job training, and orientation classes for newly assigned personnel.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing
- Must have, as a minimum, one (1) year of experience in restorative care
- Must have training in rehabilitative and restorative therapy practices
- Previous experience in long-term care is preferred
