Job Description:

A cardiac catheterization lab nurse has the primary function of performing work using the heart catheterization tool. This catheter is inserted into the arteries of the heart and used to diagnose heart conditions and sometimes used to provide treatment for certain heart conditions. They also assist physicians with the implant of pacemakers and defibrillators in patients who are suffering from heart conditions and heart disease.

Physicians performing angioplasties, valvuloplasties, stent placements, cardiac catheterization, and other catheterization procedures often employ the assistance of a cardiac catheterization lab nurse.

Cancellation Policy:
Guaranteed Hours. Client may cancel up to two (2) shifts on an 8-week assignment and up to three (3) shifts on a 13-week assignment, each without penalty. After a Clinical Assigned Professional has begun working on an assignment, Agency may cancel a longterm assignment without any penalty if a fourteen (14) day advance notice is provided to the Client. If less than a fourteen (14) day advance notice is given by Agency, then Agency will pay a cancellation fee equal to three regular shifts for the Clinical Assigned Professional at the appropriate rate.

Before a Clinical Assigned Professional has begun working on an assignment, Client may cancel a longterm assignment without any penalty if at least a seven (7) day advance notice is provided to the Agency. If Client cancels an assignment before a Clinical Assigned Professional has begun working with less than a seven (7) day notice, Client will pay a cancellation fee of three regular shifts for the Clinical Assigned Professional.
