Outpatient Hospital Setting | Supporting a Busy Anesthesia Department | MAC and General Anesthesia

Rhino Medical is seeking experienced CRNAs for a locum tenens assignment supporting a hospital-based anesthesia department in Chicago, IL. This role involves supporting a high-volume clinical environment with expert-level proficiency in MAC and General anesthesia procedures, primarily on day shifts. Candidates must have strong Epic EMR experience and Illinois licensure.

This opportunity offers an active clinical environment with approximately 50 anesthetizing sites daily, dedicated support staff, and scheduling flexibility focused on consistent weekday coverage. Ideal for CRNAs with a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, including those with peds or neuro experience, who thrive in a fast-paced hospital setting supporting a robust anesthesiology team.

  3x12-hour shifts (07:00–19:00) or 4x10-hour shifts (07:00–17:30), 4 weeks per month, occasional 4th shift, OT at 1.5x after 40 hours/week
• Support Staff: 19-23 supervising anesthesiologists per shift, 10-20 CRNAs daily
• Caseload:
  Approximately 50 anesthetizing sites daily
• EMR:
  Epic (minimum 2 years’ experience required)
• Patient Population:
  Adults, with peds and neuro experience considered a large plus

Clinical Scope

• Proficient in MAC and General anesthesia procedures
• No need for familiarity with regional, OB, thoracic, or cardiac anesthesia
• Support for adult patients; ped/neuro experience a significant plus
• Documentation within Epic EMR, with at least 2 years of experience

Requirements

• Active Illinois CRNA license
• Minimum of 2 years clinical anesthesia experience
• Epic EMR proficiency (at least 2 years)
