Registered Nurse for SANE Program, providing specialized care for adult and adolescent sexual assault survivors in an emergency setting. Responsibilities
- Perform forensic exams, head-to-toe assessments, and collect forensic specimens with accurate documentation.
- Deliver compassionate, non-judgmental care to patients presenting to the Emergency Department or inpatient units.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams, law enforcement, advocates, and legal professionals.
- Attend peer reviews, ensure compliance with standards, and participate in courtroom proceedings related to sexual assault cases.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
- Current Illinois RN license and certification in AA SANE training.
- Experience in forensic nursing is preferred.
- Computer literacy, particularly with Epic or willingness to train.
