Registered Nurse – PACU

Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse

Provide specialized postoperative care to patients recovering from anesthesia in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). Ensure patient safety, stability, and comfort through dedicated monitoring and interventions.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions continuously and respond to changes promptly.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Monitor vital signs and neurological status, utilizing Epic EMR systems.
• Collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams to ensure optimal patient recovery.
• Educate patients and families about postoperative care and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and interventions.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Demonstrate minimum of 1-2 years of PACU or perioperative experience.
• Hold current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS.
• Possess NIHSS certification or willingness to obtain.
• Exhibit strong clinical assessment skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work a 12-hour shift schedule, including on-call commitments.
