Position
Job Title: RN - CCU
Location: Chicago, IL
Hours: Nights (7 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.), every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday) and rotating holidays required
Required Travel: May float to other inpatient units as needed
Hourly Rate: $36.00 – $55.80 (determined by expertise and years of experience)
Sign on bonus: None
Responsibilities- Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate the delivery of nursing care to patients and their families.
- Maintain competency reflective of current standards of practice.
- Interact and contribute to the professional development of peers and colleagues.
- Integrate ethical provisions in all areas of nursing practice.
- Integrate evidence‑based practice and research findings into nursing practice.
- Recognize and adjust to situations that vary from the norm.
- Promote safety measures to prevent patient and staff injuries.
- Guide and supervise staff in the provision of patient care.
- Enhance own professional growth and development.
- Maintain a safe therapeutic working environment and recognize the need for action in emergency situations.
- Complete documentation thoroughly and timely.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
- Prefer at least one year of experience as a staff nurse.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Demonstrate mastery of nursing skills.
- Communicate effectively and be able to guide and supervise nursing personnel.
- Current Illinois nursing licensure.
- American Heart Association CPR certification, ACLS, and NIHSS required within 3 months of hire.
- PALS, NRP may be required within six months depending on unit requirements.
