Insight Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) for permanent night shift positions in their Medsurg/Telemetry unit. This role involves providing direct patient care related to monitoring, assessing, and treating cardiac and other medical conditions. The RN will utilize advanced practice skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving to meet the unique needs of each patient.

As a Medsurg/Telemetry RN, you will be responsible for the clinical management of the unit and ensuring patient care is delivered in a safe, effective, and compassionate manner. This role involves assessing patients’ physiological and psychosocial conditions, performing interventions according to the care plan, and collaborating with the healthcare team to improve patient outcomes. You will also play a key role in educating patients about lifestyle changes, diagnoses, medications, and discharge instructions.

• Manage patient care and ensure compliance with professional, regulatory, and organizational standards.
• Provide safe, effective, and compassionate care using critical thinking skills and ethical approaches.
• Assess changes in patients’ conditions and communicate them to the physician.
• Guide and direct unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care.
• Participate in Quality Assurance/Process Improvement initiatives to improve patient safety and outcomes.
• Perform interventions based on the care plan, infection control policies, and hospital standards.
• Collect blood specimens for laboratory analysis as needed for treatment and diagnosis.

• Education:
  
  Associate degree from a professional nursing program (required).
• License:
  Current Registered Nurse (RN) License in Illinois (required).
• Certification:
  American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider (required).
• Experience:
  
  1+ year of experience in Medsurg/Telemetry or a related clinical specialty (required).
• Ability to work:
  Flexible and available to work various hours as needed.

• BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program at an accredited nursing school (preferred).
