Hourly Pay Range

$36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors. Endeavor Health is currently conducting a comprehensive review of our compensation structure. The new minimum for this role will be adjusted to $37.25 base pay hourly rate beginning with the second paycheck in October.

The Clinical Decisional Unit is a low acuity unit that monitors and evaluates patients for an observation period of up to 16 hours. During the stay, a decision is made whether to discharge or admit the patient. If you enjoy a fast-paced, hospital-based patient care environment, this may be the unit for you!

Registered Nurse – Clinical Decisional Unit - Nights

Full Time (36 hours/week)

Nights (7p-730a); every other weekend and rotating holidays required

May float to other inpatient units as needed.

• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, diagnosis, plan, implement and evaluate the delivery of nursing care to patients and their families.
• Maintains competency reflective of current standards practice.
• Interacts and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues.
• Integrates ethical provisions in all areas of nursing practice.
• Integrates evidence-based practice and research findings into nursing practice.
• Recognizes and adjusts to situations that vary from the norm.
• Promotes safety measures to prevent patient and staff injuries.
• Guides and supervises staff in the provision of patient care.
• Enhances own professional growth and development.
• Maintains a safe therapeutic working environment and recognizes need for action in emergency situations.
• Documentation is thoroughly and timely completed
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

• At least one year of experience as a staff nurse preferred
• At least 1 year of Cardiac Tele Experience preferred
• Critical Care experience is preferred
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Demonstrates mastery of nursing skills.
• Communicates effectively and is able to guide and supervise nursing personnel.
• Current Illinois Nursing licensure
• American Heart Association CPR Certification
• American Heart Association ACLS Certification required with in 3 months of hire
• NIHSS Certification within one month of hire
• PALS, NRP may be required within six months depending on the unit requirements
