Nursing Supervisor – PM Shift

Position: Nursing Supervisor
Shift: PM Shift
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Nursing Supervisor to oversee nursing operations during the PM shift. The Nursing Supervisor will provide strong clinical leadership, support nursing staff, ensure quality patient care, and promote a safe and professional environment for patients, families, and team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support nursing staff during the PM shift.

  • Coordinate daily nursing operations and ensure appropriate staffing and assignments.

  • Monitor patient care and ensure compliance with clinical standards, policies, and procedures.

  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and leadership to nurses and support staff.

  • Respond appropriately to changes in patient conditions and clinical emergencies.

  • Communicate effectively with physicians, administrators, patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.

  • Assist with staff scheduling, performance management, and resolving workplace concerns.

  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation and adherence to regulatory requirements.

  • Participate in quality improvement, infection prevention, and patient safety initiatives.

  • Conduct shift-to-shift communication and ensure continuity of care.

  • Serve as a leadership resource for staff throughout the PM shift.

Qualifications
  • Current, unrestricted RN license in the applicable state.

  • Nursing degree from an accredited nursing program.

  • Previous nursing supervisory or leadership experience preferred.

  • Strong clinical assessment, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple priorities.
