The Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive psychiatric and mental health care to patients across the lifespan (or specified population). This role is built for a clinician who thrives with autonomy: someone who can carry an independent panel, make confident clinical decisions, adapt quickly to shifting patient needs and settings, and think on their feet when presentations are complex, urgent, or ambiguous.

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including diagnostic assessment, mental status exam, and risk assessment (suicide, self-harm, violence).
• Develop, implement, and revise individualized treatment plans integrating pharmacologic and, where appropriate, psychotherapeutic and behavioral interventions.
• Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychotropic medications; order and interpret relevant labs and screening tools; monitor for efficacy, adverse effects, and adherence.
• Manage a range of conditions including mood, anxiety, trauma-related, psychotic, and substance use disorders, as well as co-occurring medical concerns relevant to psychiatric care.
• Perform crisis assessment and intervention, safety planning, and appropriate level-of-care determinations and referrals.
• Coordinate care with primary care, therapists, care managers, social services, and community resources.
