Director of Nursing (DON) Skilled Nursing & Long-Term Care
An established post-acute and long-term care organization is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead nursing operations and clinical services. The ideal candidate is a hands-on nursing leader who is passionate about quality care, staff development, and positive resident outcomes.
ResponsibilitiesOversee daily nursing operations and clinical services.
Lead, mentor, and develop nursing leadership and staff.
Ensure compliance with CMS, state regulations, and company policies.
Monitor clinical outcomes, quality measures, and QAPI initiatives.
Maintain survey readiness and oversee plans of correction.
Oversee infection prevention and clinical standards.
Manage staffing, scheduling, and nursing labor.
Partner with physicians, residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and resident-centered care.
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Minimum 2 years of Director of Nursing experience in skilled nursing or long-term care.
Strong knowledge of CMS regulations and state survey requirements.
Experience with clinical quality and performance improvement initiatives.
Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to lead and develop nursing teams.
