What you’ll be doing:

Working onsite at Pathlight Mood and Anxiety's adult residential facility in Chicago, IL.

Monday - Friday 8:30 - 5:00 pm, on‑call rotation, shift coverage as needed (weekends and nights).

The Nurse Director (DON) plans, coordinates, and supervises the delivery of nursing care within the assigned treatment facility. The DON is a member of the facility leadership team, participates in overall management of the facility, reviews patient treatment plans, attends nursing meetings, and provides operational leadership. The DON also serves as the primary communicator between nursing matters at the facility and the Regional DON.

Essential duties and responsibilities:
  • Oversees and directs all nursing and BHC staffing processes and performance management to ensure safe staffing models and optimal performance at all assigned facilities.
  • Under instruction of the Chief Nursing Officer or Regional Director of Nursing, implements and ensures adoption of procedures in accordance with Joint Commission and state requirements, including infection prevention and control programs.
  • Tracks all required training, skill competencies, and compliance items.
  • Collaborates with other service line directors (e.g., Pharmacy, Nutrition Services) to ensure state regulations are met.
  • Assumes responsibility for service recovery, patient experience, and monthly nursing metrics reported to executive leadership.
  • Reviews incident reports, provides education, and follows established processes.
  • Assists in or oversees onboarding, orientation, and training for nursing and support staff.
  • Troubleshoots problems or situations that arise on the unit.
Must haves:
  • Active state RN licensure (required)
  • Active BLS and CPR certification (required)
  • At least 5 years of nursing leadership experience (required)
Bonus qualities:
  • Graduate degree in nursing (preferred)
Compensation

Illinois Pay Range: $117,000 – $135,000 USD.
