Bellwood Developmental Center an 82 bed ICF/DD Facility is looking for experienced, creative & dependable Full Time & Part Time Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) for Evening and Weekend Shifts to join our dynamic, caring, progressive and close-knit community. Competitive starting pay. $5,000 Sign on Bonus available!
Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) Responsibilities:- Administer nursing care to intellectually and developmentally disabled patients
- Diagnose and establish patient treatment plans
- Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior
- Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care
- Educate patients about health maintenance and disease prevention
- Maintain accurate patient medical records
- Provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members
Qualifications:
- Previous LPN experience providing health care services to those with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred but not required
- Familiarity with medical software and equipment
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
